Just Kane is a Perth-based independent artist, producer and creative whose music sits at the intersection of alternative hip hop, indie and conscious songwriting. Blending honest lyricism with melodic vocals and live instrumentation, his work explores themes of vulnerability, identity, healing and human connection.
Following more than nine years in recovery, Kane has channelled his lived experience into music that encourages authenticity over perfection. His songs document personal growth while creating space for listeners to reflect on their own experiences, making connection the driving force behind both his music and live performances.
As an independent artist, Kane writes, produces and develops much of his own creative output while also directing visual content through his production company, Different Media. His recent work includes a national headline tour, multiple sold-out shows across Perth and collaborations with artists from around Australia.
Beyond performing, Kane is committed to strengthening Western Australia's creative community. Through Different Media and the Keep On Shining initiative, he mentors emerging artists, facilitates workshops and develops projects that make music more accessible. In 2026 he independently secured and delivered a Department of Creative Industries grant, mentoring an emerging Indigenous artist through the writing, recording and release of her debut professionally produced single and music video.
